Tony La Russa believes José Abreu’s struggles are due to soreness that he’s playing through. White Sox are open to DH-ing more if they feel like it will help him.
“He’s dealing with some pain issues that he wants to play through. We’re going to talk to him about there’s still three-plus months to go. At some point, is it better just to back off a little bit if you can identify what’s sore.”
